The good news: Nothing really bad happened today-- at least, not while I was on duty.

The bad news: It was incredibly fucking sad being at Ground Zero today. And I was in hibernation when all that shite went down. Can't imagine how the rest felt.

Taskmaster contacted me today and set up a meet for Friday at 1830. I will be going-- but I won't say no to covert backup. For all the good it'll do; that fucker will probably spot 'em right away.

I'm taking a long weekend for my and Dane's birthdays the holiday. I'm signing off after my in house shift tomorrow at HQ and will be back for a late shift on Wednesday (04/27).

Hottie From Across the Hall sighting today. God, I don't care if this makes me immensely shallow, but I just love to watch the man doing anything. My kingdom for him to do it shirtless.

Somehow, some way, I'm going to get him to ask me out. One of these days. I am. (All I need now is a plan-- or some kind of in. Something.)

In other news, work's been slow. My mum keeps telling me I should get a real job but I like what I'm doing now. Besides, I'm only twenty-six-- there's plenty of time for me to play grown-up later, right?

OFFICIAL NOTICE
I have been assigned to act as S.H.I.D.L.D. liaison to the West Coast Avengers team until another agent with suitable qualifications can be assigned for the time being. This is in addition to the New York Avengers, so I'll be keeping to the East Coast unless something comes up.

I don't know how long this will last but, in the meantime, if anyone on the West Coast has need of S.H.I.E.L.D. assistance or resources, don't hesitate to contact me. And let me know if you have any questions/comments/concerns/etc.

Pepper, I hate to ask this of you, but I know you're the one who makes things happen around the Malibu mansion, so here goes: Would you mind terribly keeping an eye out for anything amiss? I don't mean spying or nosing around, just reporting if you notice things that S.H.I.E.L.D. might want to know about or be able to help with.

I understand if you don't feel comfortable or are too busy-- you do have a full time job already-- but with cloning not a viable option, I just can't be on both coasts at once. (Hopefully this will just be a temporary assignment, anyway.) But think on it and let me know. Thanks.

Fuck my life. Dugan can kiss my ass. First he shuts me out of the Fury investigation and now I'm not allowed to work on the traitorous agent who killed 19 thing, either! Well, actually, it was mostly Hill pushing me out but he let her! And, okay, he was kind of overwhelmed by everything-- Fury's job is ridiculous.

Whatever. I don't care! I'm angry, damn it! I want to know what the hell is going on. Why did my friend who was investigating the Fury case get killed? Was it related? How did that agent ever get vetted by S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Fuck. We need to clean house. Like yesterday. And here I am with both Avengers teams under my watch, no Fury and not a clue about what's really going on. Oh but you can bet I'm gonna find out. Somehow. And then I'm gonna make those bastards who took out 19 pay. Hard.
