"Well, Van Dyne was found out. Don't know if that will make my job easier, harder or obsolete.

"If my Janet assignment does end, it may be time to retire Miri Johnson as Northstar has joined the Avengers. Aurora being linked to the team, like Quicksilver, makes her much easier to monitor. Not to mention that she lives with her brother-- we'll know if anything goes awry.

"By the way, thanks for that word a day calendar, Fury. Today's word was awry, in case you were wondering.

"Assignment status: Outlaw-- contact will soon be established to determine whether she is looking to stay short- or long-term. Sunspot-- Twitchy is working something up to have me in the temp pool at Da Costa Industries. Van Dyne-- current status unknown; should have update in next few days. A.I.M.-- still haven't had much progress with Project: Scorpion.

"Also, I have outlined a proposal for infiltrating the Hellfire Club. There is something going on there and no one seems to know what it is. I aim to change that. The only problem is finding a way in. Much as I loathe to admit it, this may be an assignment for someone else.

"It will all be discussed in my meeting with Fury next week. No sense in worrying about it now.

"Drew out."

What is your professional estimation of VanDyne? Do you think she has the potential of becoming a member of the Avenger's team? I spoke on the phone with my friend, Jacqueline Falsworth-Crichton, who was present at the fight against Abomination - she noted VanDyne's participation.

In all honesty, Captain, there positives and negatives RE: Van Dyne.

Pros include unique powers, possibly good publicity for the Avengers and if she becomes an integrated team member, she'll be less likely to commit unauthorized vigilante-type activities. Janet's often underestimated, but she's clearly intelligent and has a strong sense of right and wrong.

Cons include a lack of training and experience, the publicness of her identity and possibly a lack of interest. Janet can also, at times, be self-centered and snobbish, something the press could slam her-- and, by proxy, the Avengers-- for if she becomes a member.

I do think the potential is there, though, and that, either way, it would be better (and safer) for her to become fully trained. The Avengers are a good means to that end and I've zero doubt that, if she wants to be a part of the team, she'd pull her weight. She's tenacious. (Last Wednesday's Word of the Day.)

Obviously, these are just my personal opinions and observations. Van Dyne's file has is much more in depth with a psychological profile, complete personal history and my full notes from monitoring her. It should be accessible through the S.H.I.E.L.D. database.

And, please, let me know if I can help any further. I have grown... fond of Janet these last nine months. She is kind and has a good heart; I don't want to see her suffer for doing the right thing.

Lack of training and experience can be remedied. She's obviously brave enough to approach an opponent like the Abomination.

She's dating the scientist, Henry Pym, isn't she?

I'm pulling up her data now.

I might get back to you on this, later.

Very true.

Yes, she's dating Pym. He too possesses some abilities, though I believe his interests currently lie more with research.

You know how to reach me, Captain.
